TENA Pads have been thoroughly tested to protect you from leaks during normal wear. Leaks can occur due to a variety of reasons.
All TENA Pads have Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP) that absorbs liquids and locks it deep within the pad, keeping you feeling dry. The SAP is also pH-balanced to neutralise ammonia in urine, which is the cause of bladder leak related odours.
No - period pads are not good to use for bladder leaks. Period pads are designed to absorb a slow, seeping, viscous fluid, whereas incontinence products manage the faster, thinner flow of urine. Incontinence pads lock liquid away to prevent odours from developing and keeping the skin surface dry.
